Your information has been helpful. I am a hair designer, artist, and business owner from Boise, Idaho. I’m 30 years old. I have a little bit of previous experience, but nothing formally. I built my last website about 3 years ago with a different WordPress interface and had my hosting through Hostmonster. I basically just YouTubed and asked questions, and kind of buffaloed my way through building that one. It was okay but I know that I never used the program to its full capabilities or got the exact desired look that I was after for the website.
With this business and website endeavor I have a cleaner, more refined professional look in mind. I tried for quite some time to find someone that I felt could capture my vision to build this website for me. After a lot of contemplation and research I kept coming back to the fact that I didn’t like the idea of paying someone to build it, and then also needing to pay someone to update it or adjusted it anytime anything needs changed. For this reason many people kept recommending me to Squarespace and telling me I needed to get a site there because it was so easy and I could maintain it myself.
After thoroughly investigating Squarespace, and even watching tutorials on building sites there, I decided that it just wasn’t the right fit. At no point did I see an example resembling the website I was trying to build. I just felt like I would not be happy with the limitations in the long run.
I stumbled across the URL Dr. site. I really like the idea of the hosting and training as a package because that way I have the ability to control my own website and I have the long-term tools to maintain it the way that I want/need to. And I also don’t feel like I’m in over my head with the technical jargon and coding. To some degree I have figured out what some of the things do on my own, but the training videos really help fill the holes and help me maximize the things about WordPress that I am less familiar with.
Also I think that the Enfold theme is an excellent theme, and it even helps just to have that option narrowed down. I think that the theme that I chose for my previous website was part of my problem. When you don’t know what you’re looking at and there’s a hundred themes in front of you, at some point they all run together and you just pick one.
The other reason why I decided to go with your the hosting/training package is the marketing coaching and the pointers with SEO. This is very valuable to me. I’m interested to learn more about, not only building a beautiful easy-to-navigate website, but also the backside of how to get traffic and build my business with it.
Hope this information is helpful to you.
